We are excited to bring to you a series of FREE online seminars to support you through the latest lockdown.

Registration is open to everyone. The more the merrier. There is no requirement for you to be a member of Urban Base Fitness. When you register you will be provided a link to the live zoom session,

Our first seminar, Tips to stay motivated during lockdown and how to make sure you are ready to return to competition is brought to you in partnership with the amazing Fiona McCarthy, current client of Urban Base Fitness and local sports psychologist who owns and operates Mind and Body Balance.

Seminar Overview:

Although you will be missing your sport it is important to remember the health of everyone is far more important to take care of at the moment. Sport as we know it will be back for all to enjoy.

In the meantime, it is so important that you continue to challenge yourself physically, technically and mentally. Now is the perfect time to work on aspects of your sport that need improvement. Be honest with yourself, challenge yourself to improve on something each day, enjoy the extra time you have, explore some new hobbies. Get yourself ready to return to sport bigger and better than before.

About the speaker:
Fiona is a registered psychologist, specialising in the area of sport/performance psychology and has been operating Mind Body Balance for 24 years. During that time, Fiona has assisted many local, state and national teams, athletes, parents and coaches in the areas of confidence, concentration, handling pressure, motivation, goal setting, time management, performance preparation and general well being. She has worked with numerous sports assisting recreational level athletes to international/Olympic/Paralympic level athletes reach their full potential.

Fiona has worked quite extensively with a diverse range of athletes including, triathletes, tennis players, track and field athletes, dancers, gymnasts, all football codes and golfers.

Fiona is the Hunter Academy of Sport, Sport Psychology Consultant and a New South Wales Institute of Sport, Sport Psychology Service Provider as well as being a service provider for the PFA (Professional Footballers Australia). She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian College of Sport and Exercise Psychologists .

Fiona is also a Level III Track and Field coach, and has coached sprinters and middle to long distance runners to national level. As a junior athlete, Fiona won several track and field national medals in the 400m and 800m events. Fiona believes that specificity, practicality and training smart are important keys to success and enjoyment. We are thrilled to have Fiona as a member of the Urban Base Fitness community and presenting our first online seminar.
